IDEA #18: BuzzMouth
Wednesday, February 4th, 2009IDEA #17: Revtree.com
Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009IDEA #16: Jack of all Professions
Monday, February 2nd, 2009IDEA #15: Career White Papers
Sunday, February 1st, 2009Much like technology companies have White Papers, Case Studies, Testimonials and explanations of what their technology does. I believe Companies will have these in the future explaining what it is like to work there. This is a new recruiting tool that will provide another viral method of recruiting, something that can move around the web and in email.
Ideas are a dime a dozen…
Sunday, February 1st, 2009It comes down to execution of ideas that matters. For technology companies, it largely relies on Product Management or where sales meets marketing and development. Find a market problem and solve it for a defined group of people. From there it gets quite a bit easier. Most start with ideas that do not solve anything for anybody.
IDEA #14: Start an Association or Social Network
Saturday, December 27th, 2008Become an expert, share your opinions and create a community:
Associations I have been involved in starting:
- National Association of Sales Professionals (sold)
- National Association of Information Technology Professionals (naitp.net)
- National Association of Human Resource Professionals (nahrm.org)
- Association of Gen-Y Entrepreneurs (agye.org)
- Word of Mouth Recruiting Association (womra.org)
- Arizona Venture Capital Network (azvc.net)
And think about 100′s of other emerging niches to fill. Use KickApps, Ning or other social networking platforms. From here, it is focusing on your niche, the larger the harder to penetrate. Focus, execute and grow.
I have also started a series of Circles:
- Alumni Circles
- University Circles
- ATV Circles
- Automotive Circles
- Boating Circles
- Buzz Circles
- BuzzGroups
- Car Circles
- Career Circles
- Charity Circles
- Exchange Circles
- Franchise Circles
- Greasehead.com
- Info Circles
- Knowledge Circles
- Motorcycle Circles
- Opportunity Circles
- Picture Circles
- Powerboat Circles
- Product Circles
- Project Circles
- Recruiting Circles
- RV Circles
- Sales Circles
- Sailing Circles
- Science Circles
- Truck Circles
- University Circles
- Vehicle Circles
- Venture Circles
Think of a Circle or Group to start and build a community around yourself. Last year was the year of the Tour as I brought CareerTours to many industries and niches and this next year will be the year of the Circles.
IDEA #13: Cultural Assessment
Saturday, December 27th, 2008Cultural Assessment Firm.
Here is the Cultural Performance Audit that I created to take a companies culture and measure it against their culture. I think companies need to learn and quantify their culture more and more. This simple assessment takes the qualitative and quantitative data of a company and puts it to good use. To learn more, contact me at aaronbare[at]aaronbare.com.

The instrument will take approximately 5-10 minutes from start to finish. Ideas for Sustainability…
Friday, December 26th, 2008Recycle. Reuse. Reduce.
It is more than just light bulbs, hybrids and renewable energy. It is consumption, habits, routines and our current grid. So to alter the way we think about these things, we need to think about in new ways:
